On Saturday night in McDowells of Inchicore, Saints supporters and the ‘Shed End Invincibles' supporters group voted goalkeeper Gary Rogers as their 2010 player of the year.

This season saw the Saints bounce back to challenge for the Premier Division title for most of the league and the strength of the team was very much built from the back with Rogers in superb form all season.

The former Meath GAA player and goalkeeper is pictured receiving his award from Pat's supporter Phil Moran.

On receiving his award Gary thanked the players playing in front of him who made his job easier by defending throughout the pitch and he also thanked the fans for all their great support over the season.

Gary is due to get married shortly after Christmas and will be straight back into pre-season training on his return to the club in January.

As part of the night, a special fundraiser was also held in support of Pieta House – the centre for the prevention of self-harm and suicide.

A number of brave Saints fans volunteered to take part in a charity wax-a-thon and with the support of all present on the night including the management of McDowells, €1,000 was raised for the Lucan based charity.

St Patrick's Athletic would like to remind all supporters that 2011 Season Ticket application forms are now available from the club shop on Emmet Road (call 01 4780478 or email
