MAHON AIMS FOR SUCCESSFUL ROAD TRIP

St Patrick's Athletic travel south for their FAI Ford Senior Cup Quarter Final with Cork in Turner's Cross hoping to get the job done on the night.

The Saints will be hoping to book their spot in the semi-final for the third time in four seasons and ultimately to keep their cup dreams alive having not won the trophy since 1961.

Team News:
Pete Mahon must plan without David McMillan who remains out with a hamstring injury.

Also absent are Shane Guthrie and Seán O'Connor who are both cup tied having played for Dundalk and Limerick respectively in earlier rounds.

Other than that Pete Mahon has a full squad to choose from and will restore Danny North to the starting line-up after his goal from the bench against Shamrock Rovers on Monday.

Pete Mahon:
"We won't be making too many changes to the starting line up as this is a very important game for us in terms of our season.

"We'll be hoping to get the tie over with tomorrow and I'm sure Cork will be thinking the same.

"We've had a lot of midweek games recently and we would like to get back to a more regular schedule if we can.

"Cork also have the League Cup Final coming up next weekend so I'd imagine they won't want a replay either.

"We've seen them quite a few times this season and they're a very good side who will be very difficult to beat.

"We've been playing well lately though and picking up good results so we'll go down knowing that we're in good form and that we can win the game."

Replay:
If required, the replay will take place in Richmond Park on Monday, September 19th at 7.45pm
