THE NETBUSTERS

27 goals in 4 games have seen our 11s slowly creep up their division.

There was an influx of new players at the start of the season and it has taken time for the side to gel and make progress. They seem to have now found their feet and results have started to come their way.

They are unbeaten in their last 4 games and are knocking in the goals.

Following a 6-3 first round Goodson Cup win over Ballyfermot United, they snatched a 2-2 draw from the jaws of victory with second placed and unbeaten Templeogue United.

This young Saints side were cruelly denied a deserved win when Templogue equalised with 20 seconds remaining.

The lads bounced back from that disappointment by recording back to back wins over St John Bosco and Ballyfermot United. In their 10-2 victory over local rivals Bosco, two former Bosco players Glen Carroll (4) and Patrick Carey (2) netted 6 goals between them.

In the following game against “Ballyer”, Gregory Moorhouse matched Carroll's achievement by also netting 4 goals in the team's comprehensive 9-0 win.
