Turner Extends Contract
St Patrick's Athletic can confirm that Luke Turner has penned a new contract to extend his stay at Richmond Park into the 2027 season and beyond.
The Crumlin native arrived in Inchicore from Cliftonville ahead of the 2024 campaign and has made 81 appearances so far, scoring six times.
Turner (24) is a hugely popular figure both on and off the pitch and everyone at the club is delighted that he has signed a new deal.
The delighted centre-back said:
"I was buzzing as soon as The Gaffer (Stephen Kenny) spoke to me and I was ecstatic when he said he wanted to keep me on. It was a big buzz when I first signed here and it's the exact same feeling again signing a new contract.
I always looked a Pat's with a lot of admiration before I signed, watching in the stands when I was younger, it was always my dream to go and play on the pitch (at Richmond Park) and going from watching the likes of Chris Forrester to playing with him is a bit mental. If I told myself when I was 10 that I'd be playing with Chris, I wouldn't have believed it.
Going on to play in massive stadiums like Besiktas and other big trips, it's been unbelievable and is what every kid dreams of and I want to make more of those memories."

Manager Stephen Kenny has welcomed today's news:
"Luke has had an exceptional season and we're delighted with his progress. He is a brilliant character to have in the dressing room and has a high level of professionalism and all round qualities.
Luke is versatile and can play anywhere across the back 3, he has added new dimensions to his game this season, his ability to underlap from left-centre-back has been a feature of our play. He's improved in lots of aspects which has been great to witness.
At 24, Luke's best years are ahead of him. He is part of the fabric of the local community and of the club.
We're delighted that he has extended his stay with us and he can be an important player for us over the next few seasons."
While Sporting Director Ger O'Brien added:
"We're delighted that Luke has committed his future to the club. After a difficult season both on and off the pitch last year, he's responded brilliantly.
His performances this season have been excellent and we firmly believe there's even more to come as he continues to develop.
