St Patrick's Athletic completed their 2008 pre-season with an entertaining win over a Blackburn Rovers selection at Richmond Park.
Overall the Saints were deserved winners having defended well during a blustery first-half.
Gary O'Neill opened the scoring from the penalty spot after Keith Fahey was upended in the area.
Blackburn's equaliser wasn't long coming and it was something special. Aaron Doran's volley from 25 yards flew past Barry Ryan into the net via the crossbar.
Both sides battled hard against the conditions and we had to wait until the 2nd half for the next goal.
Stephen Paisley should have put the Saints ahead but amazing blazed over from two yards out.
His blushes were spared when substitute Glenn Fitzpatrick scored his first goal for the Saints and then unselfishly set up Bobby Ryan for the third and a comfortable victory.
